I have always had a love for people, food, and design. In 2004 , Top Notch Catering and Cakes became reality. With the success and growth of the business, in 2009 floral design was added, providing a more customized service to help ease the event planning process. In 2022, with the continued growth and success of the business, I took a leap of faith and rebranded as Basil & Bloom. This business has always brought me so much joy, and allowed me to meet so many amazing people. It gives me a creative outlet to not only create memorable food, but also design beautiful floral arrangements for special events. I feel beyond blessed to do what I love and look forward to working and creating with you for your next event.
I grew up in Sidney, MT and moved to Billings to attend college at MSU-Billings in 2003. I remember one afternoon in 2009 when Melissa called to see if I could help with an event that day. I had no idea what I was saying yes to but I have always enjoyed spending time with her so I figured it would be fun. Catering with Melissa became something I looked forward to, she makes the work fun. I moved away for eight years but when she heard I was coming back to Billings, her first question was “do you wanna work”. I jumped right back into helping her whenever possible. She started sending me on events by myself and with my own team. I’m excited to continue working with Melissa and get more involved in the floral and business side of Basil & Bloom.
